EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF YDGANJIANPI FANG ANTI-HEPATIC FIBROGENESIS IN THE RATS

  • Objective:The aim of this study was to inquire into the effects of YeganJianpi Fang on anti-hepatic fibrosis.Methods:27 adult Wistar rats were randomly divided into 5 groups: heathly control group, CCl 4 injured rats left untreated (CCl 4 group), and CCl 4 injured rats treated with YeganJianpi Fang (low group, high group) and CCl 4 injured rats treated with colchicine as control ( colchicine control group). Liver fibrosis was induced in rats by subcutaneous injection of 40% CCl 4 oily solution, low group and high group were treated with YeganJianpi Fang. After 8-week treatment, rats were killed and the following parameters of hepatic fibrosis was determined: Serum alanine minotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) , hyaturonic acid (HA), hydroxyprocinine (HyP) level of hepatictissues. Results: The results indicated the levels of serum ALT, AST, HA in rats of YeganJianpi Fang (high group) was significantly lower than that of the CCl 4 group (P0.05). In hepatic tissue, the hydroxyprocinine was significantly lower too. Conclusion:The YeganJianpi Fang has inhibitory effects on hepatofibrosis.
