CLINICAL RESEARCH OF TREATMENT WITH TUMOR SPECIFIC CYTOTOXIC T LYMPHOCYTE IN PATIENTS WITH CARCINOMA

  • Objective:To induce cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) specific for carcinoma and evaluate the effect of treatment with CTL . Methods: Interleukin-2 (IL-2) was added during the stimulation of peripheral blood lymphocytes with autologous tumor cells to generate tumor-specific CTL . CTL were transferred to the patients with carcinoma and their anti-tumor effects were observed . CTL labelled by using 51 Cr imaging was performed on three cases with metastatic lesions. Results:Adoptive CTL treatment could actirate effective anti-tumor immunity and delay significantly tumor recurrence and metastasis.A high tracer uptake was detected in metastatic lesions on imaging .Conclusions: Adoptive immunotherapy with CTL is one of the efficacious methods in the treatment of carcinoma .
