ARSENIC TRIOXIDE CAN INDUCE APOPT0SIS OF ACUTE LYMPHOCYTIC LEUKEMIA CELL LINE

  • Aim: To understand the possible effect of arsenic trioxide (As2O3) on acute lpophocyt-ic leukemia cell line. Methods: Acute lymphocytic leukemia cell line MOLT-4 was used as in vitro model. On The effects of AS2O3 on cell growth, viability and m0rphology, apoptosis was assessed by means of rnor-phology, distribution of DNA contents on flow cytometry. ResultS: l. 0mol/L of AnO3 induced MOLT-4 cell apoptosis in the time-dependent manner. Conclusions: It may suggest that An O3 can induceapoptosis of acute lyrnphocytic leukemia cell line and may privode a theoretical base in clinic.
