ANALYSIS OF COMBINED DETECTIVE RESUITS OF α-FETOPROTEIN, FERRITIN, β_2-MICROGLOBULIN AND HYALURONIC ACID IN SERUM OF PATIENTS WITH PRIMARY HEPATOCELLULAR CARCINOMA AND PATIENTS WITH LIVER CIRRHOSIS

  • Serum concentration of α - fetoprotein (AFP), ferritin (SF), β2- microglobulin (β2 -MG) and hyaluronic acid(HA) were determined by radioimmunoassay(RIA) in 42 potients with primaryhepatocellular carcinoma (PHC), 31 liver cirrhosis(LC)and 28 normal persons. The results showed that thepositive rates of determining each of SF, β2 -MG, HA in PHC and LC were 71. 4% and 25. 8% (P0.01 ) ; 50. 0% and 38. 7% (P0. 05); 83. 3% and 83. 8% (P0. 05). The measurement of SF,β2-MG,HA haven't specificity in diagnosing PHC and LC because they are overlapping high. The change rang ofSF and HA contents may be useful in the discrimination diagnosis of PHC and LC. Diagnosing PHC de-pendedon two of SF,β2-MG and HA at least had a sensitivity of 81. 0% and a specificity of 67. 7 % and areliability of 75. 3%,and had a positive rate of 82. 6 N in PHC with AFP negative or lower levels- When it were combined AFP,the diagnosis accuracy of PHC may rise. It had a sensitivity of 90. 5 % and a specificity of 87. 0% and reliability of 89. 2%.,
