INTRACTABLE PSYCHOSES TREATED WITH STEREOTACTIC OPERATIONS (A Report of 12 Cases)

  • Since April 1990 the authors have followed up 12 patients with intractable psychosesoperated stereotactically. The rate of recent curative eeffect is 75 per cent, which decreases by 66. 7 percent after 3 years, and by 50 per cent after 5 years. The effect of operation for illusion, impulse and attackaction is good and affirmatvie. The selection of target sites of lesion for different symptoms was also dis-cussed.
