Effect of perioperative nursing intervention in elderly patients undergoing left atrial appendage occlusion

  • Objective To observe the clinical effect of perioperative nursing intervention in elderly patients with left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAC).
Methods A total of 89 patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) undergoing LAAC were selected as study subjects. According to the drawing method, patients were divided into control group(n=44) and research group (n=45). The control group was given perioperative routine nursing, and the research group was given perioperative fine nursing. The scores of Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) and Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Comprehensive Quality of Life Questionnaire-74 (GQOL-74), complication rate and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.
Results After nursing, the SAS and SDS scores of two groups were lower than before nursing, and the study group was lower than the control group (P < 0.05); after nursing, GQOL-74 scores of two groups were higher than before nursing, and the research group was higher than the control group (P < 0.05); after nursing, the complication rate of the research group was 6.67%, which was lower than 25.00% of the control group (P < 0.05). After nursing, activated partial thrombin time (APTT), prothrombin time (PT), thrombin time (TT) of two groups were longer than that before nursing, and the study group was longer than the control group, while the Fbg level was lower than before nursing, and the research group was lower than the control group (P < 0.05). After nursing, the nursing satisfaction of the research group was 93.33%, which was significantly higher than 75.00% of the control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion Perioperative nursing can alleviate the bad mood, improve the quality of life, reduce the incidence of complications and improve the satisfaction of AF patients receiving LAAC. The work process of perioperative nursing is accurate and reasonable, which can improve the efficiency of nursing work, ensure the quality of nursing, and provide a new theoretical basis for the follow-up nursing of LAAC patients to a certain extent.
