Willingness of cancer patients in county in using "Internet +" continuing care service and its influencing factors

  • Objective To explore the willingness of cancer patients in county in using "Internet +" continuing care service and its influencing factors.
Methods A total of 278 hospitalized cancer patients from August to November 2021 were selected as research objects. All cancer patients were surveyed on their willingness to use "Internet plus" continuing care services.
Results In this study, the willingness rate of cancer patients in the county to use "Internet +" continuing care service was 43.88%(122/278). The results of Logistic regression analysis showed that education level, owning intelligent communication equipment, self-care ability and understanding of "Internet +" continuing care had an impact on the willingness of cancer patients to use "Internet +" continuing care services in county areas.
Conclusions In the future, the "Internet +" continuing care service in the county should pay attention to the patients′ education level, self-care ability, whether they owned intelligent communication equipment or not, and whether they understood the "Internet +" continuing care or not. The mode and content of transitional care should be closer to the needs of patients, so as to improve the willingness of cancer patients in the county to use the "Internet +" continuing care service.
