Research progress in immune pathogenesis of chronic prostatitis

  • The main manifestations of chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS) are lower urinary tract symptoms, pain and sexual dysfunction, which seriously affects the health status and quality of life of patients. In this study, the immune cells related to the occurrence and development of chronic prostatitis, including Th1 cells, Th17 cells, Treg cells and mast cells, were investigated, and the related studies on the influence of the disease on pathogenesis were reviewed.
