Research progress in non-coding RNA in radon-induced lung cancer

  • The incidence and mortality of lung cancer are in the forefront of all cancers in the world. Radon and its daughters are the second biggest risk factors after smoking. Non-coding RNA is an essential regulator of biological processes and affects tumor development through epigenetic, transcriptional, and post-transcriptional regulation of cell development, proliferation differentiation, and apoptosis. However, the mechanism of the role of non-coding RNA in radon-induced lung cancer is unclear. This paper mainly reviewed the non-coding RNAs aberrantly expressed in tissues of radon-induced lung cancer and elaborated on its mechanism in radon-induced lung cancer so as to provide new ideas for prevention and clinical treatment of radon-induced lung cancer.
