Research progress on role of intestinal microbiota in sepsis

  • Intestinal microbiota is mainly involved in idiopathic acute inflammation such as inflammatory bowel disease, ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Studies in recent years have found that intestinal microbiota can affect the occurrence, development and prognosis of sepsis. This article reviewed the mechanism of intestinal microbiota in sepsis, and provided new therapeutic concepts and means for sepsis.
