Mechanism of acupuncture in the treatment of acute gastrointestinal injury based on brain-gut peptide

  • The incidence rate of acute gastrointestinal injury in ICU ward is increasing year by year, and acute gastrointestinal injury has an impact on the prognosis and treatment of sepsis. At present, the western treatment for acute gastrointestinal injury mostly adopts the basic symptomatic treatment such as gastrointestinal decompression, anti-infection and beneficial bacteria, while the traditional Chinese medicine for acute gastrointestinal injury has the unique advantages of safety and less side effects. It is found that acupuncture can control inflammation, repair intestinal mucosa and regulate gastrointestinal motility by regulating the secretion of brain-gut peptide, so as to improve gastrointestinal function. This study aimed to explore mechanism of acupuncture in the treatment of acute gastrointestinal injury based on brain-gut peptide.
