Effect of Xiaoer Liuwei Zengshi Gao on intestinalmucosa absorption function and gastrointestinal hormone in children with dysfunction of spleen in transportation

  •   Objective  To observe the effect of Xiaoer Liuwei Zengshi Gao on intestinal mucosa absorption function and gastrointestinal hormones in children with dysfunction of spleen in transportation.
Methods  A total of 95 children with anorexia treated were selected as study objects, and were divided into control group (47 cases) and observation group (48 cases) by random number table method. The control group was treated with domperidone suspension, and the observation group was treated with Xiaoer Liuwei Zengshi Gao, all patients were treated for 4 weeks. After 4 weeks of treatment, the clinical effects of the two groups were evaluated and compared. Before and 4 weeks after treatment, the indexes of absorption function of intestinal mucosal (serum zinc concentration, D-xylose concentration), gastrointestinal hormone indexesserum gastrin (GAS), motilin (MOT), neuropeptide Y (NPY)were detected and compared between the two groups; the occurrence of adverse reactions during treatment between the two groups was recorded.
Results  The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than the control group (P < 0.05); after 4 weeks of treatment, the blood zinc concentration, D-xylose concentration, GAS, MOT, and NPY levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05); there was no statistical significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).
Conclusion  Xiaoer Liuwei Zengshi Gao for children with anorexia has better therapeutic effect, which can improve the absorption function of intestinal mucosa and the level of gastrointestinal hormones, and has higher safety.
