Effect of finger manipulation in acupoints combined with Italian fascial manipulation in treating glenohumeral subluxation after stroke

  • Objective To investigate the effect of finger manipulation in acupoints combined with Italian fascial manipulation on joint function and pain degree of patients with glenohumeral subluxation(GHS)after stroke. Methods A total of 100 patients with GHS after stroke were selected, and were randomly divided into two groups, with 50 cases in each group. The control group used external fixation of shoulder joint and conventional exercise therapy. On the basis of the control group, the treatment group was treated with finger manipulation in acupoints combined with Italian fascial manipulation. The treatment effects, joint function and pain degree of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate in the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05); the Fugl-Meyer motor function score of upper limb in the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Finger manipulation in acupoints combined with Italian fascial manipulation for GHS patients after stroke has a significant effect, which can improve function of shoulder joints, and reduce the degree of pain.
