Application of ultrasound-guided nerve block in the treatment of chronic trauma

  • Objective To analyze application of ultrasound-guided nerve block in the treatment of chronic trauma. Methods A total of 80 patients with chronic wound in our hospital were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given routine wound care, while the observation group was treated with ultrasound-guided nerve block on the basis of routine wound care. Treatment effect, wound healing time, treatment cost, wound reduction degree and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)Score after two weeks of operation were analyzed. Results The effective rate of the observation group was 92.50%, and 75.0% in the control group, there was statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05). The wound healing time of the observation group was significantly shorter, and treatment cost was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05). The wound size of the observation group was significantly shrunk, while the VAS score was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Ultrasound guided nerve block has a significant effect for patients with chronic trauma, which can significantly shorten the wound healing time, reduce the hospitalization expenses, improve the wound healing speed and relieve the pain of patients.
