Value of quantitative parameters of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging combined with apparent diffusion coefficient value in evaluating the efficacy of synchronous radiotherapy and chemotherapy in cervical cancer patients

  • Objective To evaluate the value of quantitative parameters of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(DCM-MRI)combined with apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)value in evaluating the efficacy of synchronous radiotherapy and chemotherapy in patients with cervical cancer. Methods A total of 88 cervical cancer patients were selected, and underwent synchronous radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and DCE-MRI examination was carried out before and after treatment. Quantitative parameters of tumor DCE-MRI before and after treatment were measured and analyzed, and ADC values were observed. Results The tumor volume after cervical cancer treatment was significantly smaller than treatment before(P<0.05), ADC value after treatment was significantly higher than treatment before(P<0.05). After treatment, volume transfer coefficient(Ktrans)and extravascular extracellular space volume fraction(Ve)of contrast agent leakage from plasma to extracellular spaces in patients with cervical cancer were significantly higher than those before treatment(P<0.05), while rate constant between extravascular extracellular space and blood plasma(Kep)and fractional blood plasma volume(Vp)showed no significant differences compared to pre-treatment(P>0.05). Conclusion Quantitative parameters of DCM-MRI combined with ADC value can better evaluate the effect of synchronous radiotherapy and chemotherapy of cervical cancer, which can be used as - a routine examination to evaluate the efficacy of radiotherapy and chemotherapy of cervical cancer.
