Progressive rehabilitation and nursing for calcaneal fractures after percutaneous reduction and fixation

  • Objective To observe the effect of progressive rehabilitation nursing on recovery of calcaneal fracture after percutaneous reduction and fixation. Methods A total of 54 patients with calcaneal fractures were selected and randomly divided into control group and research group, with 27 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, while the research group was given progressive rehabilitation nursing. The recovery conditions of foot function, nursing satisfaction, postoperative complication rate, pain score and pain relief rates were compared and analyzed between two groups. Results The excellent rate of foot function recovery and nursing satisfaction in the research group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05), and the incidence of postoperative complications was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). The Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score after intervention in the research group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05), and the pain relief rate was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Progressive rehabilitation intervention nursing for patients with calcaneal fracture after percutaneous reduction and fixation can effectively promote the recovery of patients'foot function, relieve postoperative pain and improve nursing satisfaction.
