Analysis on risk factors of femoral head necrosis after operation in patients with traumatic femoral neck fractures

  • Objective To analyze the risk factors of femoral head necrosis in patients with traumatic femoral neck fractures, and to explore the effect of internal fixation of closed reduction hollow nails. Methods A retrospective analysis of clinical data of 150 patients with traumatic femoral neck fractures treated in our hospital was performed, and the relevant factors including their age, gender, basic disease, fracture displacement, and quality of resetting were performed by single-factor and multi-factor analysis. Results Single-factor analysis showed that age, fracture displacement, and quality of resetting were independent risk factors for femoral head necrosis(P<0.05), while the rest of factors showed no significant differences(P>0.05). Logistic multivariate regression analysis showed that 60 years of age and above, obvious displacement of fracture, and poor quality of resetting were independent risk factors for femoral head necrosis. Conclusion Patients'age, fracture reduction, and quality of resetting should be fully evaluated before surgery, and patients with high risk factors should be treated accordingly to improve the success rate of surgery.
