Value of evidence-based rehabilitation model in improving postoperative cardiac function after cardiac pacemaker implantation

  • Objective To study the value of evidence-based rehabilitation model in improving postoperative cardiac function after cardiac pacemaker implantation. Methods A total of 68 patients admitted to our hospital were selected and divided into two groups according to random number table method. The control group(n=34)received routine postoperative care, while the observation group(n=34)additionally received evidence-based rehabilitation. Postoperative cardiac function index, length of hospital stay and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The postoperative left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)and 6-minute walking test(6MWT)in the observation group were both better than the control group(P< 0.05). The overall incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was 11.76%, which was lower than 32.35% in the control group(P<0.05), and the length of hospital stay in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group [(5.26±2.54)d vs.(7.04±3.17)d, P< 0.05]. Conclusion Application of evidence-based rehabilitation can reduce the incidence of complications, improve thecardiac function, shorten the hospital stay, and accelerate the rehabilitation process of patients.
