Effect of progressive relaxation training in patients with threatened abortion

  • Objective To evaluate the effect of progressive relaxation training in patients with threatened abortion. Methods A total of 90 threatened abortion patients admitted to the hospital were randomly divided into control group(n=42)and observation group(n=48). The control group received routine care, while the observation group was given routine care and progressive relaxation training. The effects of different care of the two groups were compared. Results The anxiety score, symptom score(except paranoid symptoms), abortion rate and premature rupture of membranes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The quality of life score after nursing intervention in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Progressive relaxation training for patients with threatened abortion can effectively improve the negative emotions and pregnancy outcomes, and improve their self-efficacy.
