Efficiency observation of gauze soaked by coptis chinensis and radix lithospermi oil in treating early ulcer of patients with diabetic foot

  • Objective To explore the efficiency of gauze soaked by coptis chinensis and radix lithospermi oil in treating early ulcer of patients with diabetic foot. Methods Totally 64 patients with diabetic foot from June 2017 to June 2018 in authors' hospital were selected and randomly divided into treatment group(treated with gauze soaked by coptis chinensis and radix lithospermi oil)and control group(treated with iodophor disinfection and Kangfuxin solution). The therapeutic effect and the contents of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 96.87% and 84.37% respectively, and there was a significant difference between two groups(P<0.05). After intervention, the contents of VEGF and bFGF increased in both groups, and contents of VEGF and bFGF in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Gauze soaked by coptis chinensis and radix lithospermi oil is effective in treating early ulcer of patients with diabetic foot.
