Applicaton efficiency of whole course predictive nursing in elderly patients with femoral fracture

  •   Objective  To explore the application efficiency of whole course predictive nursing intervention in elderly patients with femoral fracture.
Methods  Totally 90 elderly patients with femoral fracture were randomly divided into study group and control group. The control group received routine nursing intervention, and the observation group received whole course predictive nursing intervention. The hip joint function, postoperative pain scores at 8 h, 1 d, and 3 d postoperative complications and nursing satisfaction degree were compared between the two groups.
Results  The hip joint function of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group (P < 0.05). The pain scores at 8 h, 1 d, and 3 d of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P < 0.01). The incidence rate of postoperative complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The nursing satisfaction degree of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion  The whole course predictive nursing can effectively promote the recovery of hip joint function, alleviate postoperative pain, reduce incidence of postoperative complications and improve the satisfaction degree of nursing service in the elderly patients with femoral fracture.
