Effect of suture anchors combined with Krackowsuture in treating the extremely comminuted fracture of middle and inferior patella

  •   Objective  To investigate the clinical effects of suture anchors combined with krackow suture in treating extremely comminuted fracture of middle and inferior patella.
Methods  The clinical data of 29 patients treated by suture anchors combined with krackow suture for extremely comminuted fracture of middle and inferior patella were retrospectively collected in this study. Post-treatment outcomes, fracture union, surgical time and Lysholm keen score were analyzed.
Results  All the 29 patients were followed up successfully, with an average of (23.97±15.54) months, and average operation time was (79.70±13.79) min. All the incisions achieved primary healing, there was no case of incision infection, soft tissue irritation from implant, anchor loosening, delayed union, and nonunion. All patients achieved bone healing at 3 months after surgery, the mean Lysholm keen score was (90.76±6.42) points and the excellent and good rate was 86.21%.
Conclusion  Suture anchor combined with krackow suture for extremely comminuted fracture of middle and inferior patella can achieve favorable clinical efficacy.
