Effect of painless delivery technology on delivery outcome and lactation function of primiparas with natural delivery

  •   Objective  To explore the effect of painless delivery technology on delivery outcome and lactation function of primiparas with natural delivery.
Methods  A total of 90 primiparas with natural delivery were selected and randomly divided into routine group (n=45) and research group (n=45). The routine group was conducted with traditional natural delivery, while the research group was conducted with painless delivery technology. The duration of labor, the amount of postpartum hemorrhage, the Apgar score of newborn and the related indexes of lactation were compared between the two groups.
Results  The time of first stage of labor, the time of second stage of labor, the total time of labor and the amount of postpartum hemorrhage in the research group were significantly better than those in the routine group (P < 0.05), but there was no significant difference in Apgar scores at 1, 5 min between the two groups (P>0.05). The levels of serum prolactin in the research group were significantly higher than those in the control group at 30 min and 24 h after delivery, the time of first lactation was significantly earlier than that in the control group, and the number of lactation in the 24 h after delivery was significantly more than that in the control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion  Painless delivery technology can effectively shorten the duration of labor, reduce the amount of postpartum hemorrhage, and improve the function of postpartum lactation.
