Analysis in accuracy of infrared positioning system for radiotherapy in positioning of tumor radiotherapy

  •   Objective  To analyze the accuracy of infrared positioning system (OPS) in localization of tumor radiotherapy.
      Methods  Totally 180 patients with malignant tumors in the abdominal cavity and pelvis were divided into the conventional laser localization group and the infrared localization group. The qualified rate of localization at the end of radiotherapy was compared between the two groups.
      Results  The qualification rate of localization in conventional laser localization group was 95.6%, which was significantly lower than 98.9% in infrared localization group (P < 0.05).
      Conclusion  OPS can meet the requirements of accuracy localization in precise radiotherapy localization, which is more accurate than the conventional laser localization.
