Effect of quality control circle activities in the perioperative nursing of hepatobiliary surgery

  •   Objective  To explore the effect of quality control circle (QCC) activities in perioperative nursing in hepatobiliary surgery.
Methods  A total of 52 patients with hepatobiliary surgery from January to December 2017 (before QCC nursing intervention) were as control group and 52 patients with hepatobiliary surgery from January to December 2018 (after QCC nursing intervention) were as observation group. Retrospective analysis was performed on clinical data of these patients. The postoperative recovery (postoperative ambulation time, postoperative exhaust time, postoperative defecation time, postoperative hospital stay), occurrence of postoperative complications and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups, and the changes of comprehensive abilities (QCC technique, team spirit, communication and coordination, activity confidence, responsibility and sense of honor) were recorded among 8 nursing staffs before and after nursing intervention.
Results  The postoperative ambulation time, postoperative exhaust time, postoperative defecation time, postoperative hospital stay and total incidence of postoperative complications in observation group were lower than those in control group (P < 0.05). The nursing satisfaction in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group (P < 0.05), and the nursing satisfaction in observation group was 84.62%, which reached the target value of QCC (82.79%). After QCC nursing intervention, the scores of QCC technique, team spirit, communication and coordination, activity confidence, responsibility and sense of honor of 8 nursing staffs were higher than intervention before (P < 0.05).
Conclusion  QCC intervention has good application effect in perioperative nursing of hepatobiliary surgery, which can improve the comprehensive abilities of nursing staff and the quality of nursing services, and it is of great significance in postoperative rehabilitation.
