Perioperative nursing guidance for hip functionrecovery after artificial joint replacement

  •   Objective  To analyze the clinical effect of perioperative nursing guidance on hip function recovery after artificial joint replacement.
Methods  A total of 78 patients who underwent total hip arthroplasty in our hospital were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 39 cases in each group. Control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given perioperative nursing. The Visual Analogue Score (VAS), hip joint flexion and extension were compared between the two groups.
Results  The patients with grade Ⅰ pain in observation group were significantly more than that in the control group, and those with grade Ⅱ pain was significantly less than that in control group(P < 0.05). But the patients with grade Ⅲ pain in two groups showed no statistically significant difference(P>0.05); the degree of hip flexion and extension in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group(P < 0.05).
Conclusion  Perioperative nursing guidance can effectively reduce postoperative pain and promote postoperative hip function recovery during total hip arthroplasty.
