Effect of comprehensive nursing on treatment compliance and clinical efficacy in children with pneumonia

  •   Objective  To investigate the effect of comprehensive nursing on the treatment compliance and clinical efficacy in children with pneumonia.
Methods  A total of 260 children with pediatric pneumonia admitted to our hospital were selected and were divided into control group (n=130)and the observation group(n=130) according to the random number table method. Patients in both groups underwent aerosol inhalation therapy. Patients in the control group was treated with routine nursing intervention, while those in the observation group underwent comprehensive nursing intervention. Nursing efficacy of the two groups were compared.
Results  The clinical total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (90.8% vs. 75.4%, P < 0.05). The disappearance time of all symptoms in the children was significantly shorter than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The compliance of the observation group was 96.9%, which was higher than 86.9% of the control group (P < 0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion  Comprehensive nursing intervention for children with pneumonia can significantly improve the treatment effect and their compliance.
