Effect of different surgical treatment on immune function of patients with benign ovarian tumor

  • Objective To explore the effect of different surgical treatment on immune function of patients with benign ovarian tumor. Methods A total of 68 patients with benign ovarian tumor were randomly divided into laparotomy group and laparoscopic minimally invasive group. The perioperative situation of two groups was compared. The levels of white blood cell count,CRP and serum interleukin were compared one day before operation, one day after operation and three days after operation between two groups. Results The operative time, number of analgesic pump presses and the amount of blood loss in the minimally invasive group were significantly lower than those in the laparotomy group (P < 0.05).The recovery time of the intestinal function in the minimally invasive group was significantly shorter than that in the laparotomy group (P < 0.05).The number of white blood cells in the minimally invasive group was significantly lower than that in the laparotomy group one day after operation (P < 0.05).The level of CRP in the minimally invasive group was significantly lower than in the laparotomy group 1 and 3 days after operation (P < 0.05).Compared with the laparotomy group, the level of IL-6 significantly decreased (P < 0.05) and IL-2 significantly increased at 1 and 3 days after operation in the minimally invasive group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of benign ovarian tumor has the advantages of less surgical trauma, less pain, and less effect on immune function.
