Influence of monosialotetera-hexosyl ganglioside on signal transduction pathway of oxidative stress in rats with traumatic brain inj ury

  • Obj ective To explore the influence of monosialotetera-hexosyl ganglioside on the signal transduction pathway of oxidative stress in rats with traumatic brain inj ury. Methods The improved model of moderate closed brain inj ury was established in rats by using of the method of Marmarou. After traumatic brain injury free radical,cyt-c and countity of apoptosis neural cell in the cortex of rats were observed dynamically with the method of TAB,immunohistochemry and TUNEL.Results The treatment with edaravone after traumatic brain inj ury was able to decrease the level of free radical expression of cyt-c and countity of apoptosis nerve cell.Edaravone could im-prove the defective degree of neurophysiological functions at 72 hours after traumatic brain inj ury. Compared with edaravone, edaravone combined with ganglioside had a more apparent efficacy.Con-clusion Ganglioside has a cerebral protective effect, and one of the mechanisms is working by ad-justing the signal transduction pathway of oxidative stress.
