The impact of health education on the quality of life in ovarian cancer patients with chemotherapy

Objective To investigate the impact of health education on the quality of life in ovarian cancer patients with chemotherapy.Methods 80 ovarian cancer patients with chemothera-py were divided into control group and observation group.The control group with 40 patients was given routine nursing while the observation group with 40 patients was given health education mea-sures.Results After nursing,SAS,SDS scores in the observation group were (25.7±4.6)and (1 5 .7 ± 5 .7 )respectively ,and were significantly higher than that in the control group (P <0.05);Rating scores of each dimension of quality of life in the observation group were significantly better than that in the control group(P <0.05).Conclusion Health education measures could improve the quality of life of ovarian cancer patients with chemotherapy,reduce adverse emotions, and promote the prognosis.
