The effect of nursing intervention on mental state of maternal separation in high risk puerperae

  • Objective To investigate the effect of nursing intervention on mental state of maternal separation in high-risk puerperae.Methods 100 maternal separation maternal puerper-ae were divided into control group and observation group.The control group was given routine nursing,while the observation group was given concerning nursing and breast nursing with tradi-tional Chinese medicine method.Psychological stress of two groups was evaluated by the State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STA-I)and the Edinburgh postnatal depression scale.And physiologi-cal stress index in heart rate (HR),systolic blood pressure (SBP),fasting blood glucose,and breast swelling after 3 days and breast feeding of 6 weeks were statistical analyzed.Results The difference was statistically significant since anxious degree of the patients in the two groups after 1 days,7 days and 6 weeks improved in varying degrees (P <0.01).The difference was statistically significant in anxiety level at different time points in the intervention group compared with the con-trol group (P <0.01).The difference was statistically significant since depression of 6 weeks in patients in the two groups all improved than that of 7 days (P <0.01).The difference was statis-tically significant in depression at different time points in the intervention group than that of the control group (P <0.01).The difference was not significant in HR,SBP levels between the inter-vention group and the control group (P >0.05).The difference was significant in fasting blood glucose level in the intervention group than that in the control group (P <0.01).The difference was significant in breast swelling at the 3rd day and number of breast feeding after 6 weeks in the interventiongroupcomparedwiththecontrolgroup(P <0 .0 1 ).Conclusion Nursingintervention on mental state of maternal separation in high risk pregnant women has a positive effect,it can ef-fectively alleviate the adverse mood of maternal separation,improve cooperation degree of medical and nursing so as to improve the quality of obstetrics department.
