Research on self-regulation fatigue and coping style in cervical cancer patients with radiotherapy

  •   Objective  To explore the current situation of self-regulation fatigue and coping style in cervical cancer patients with radiotherapy and their correlations.
Methods  A total of 86 hospitalized cervical cancer patients with radiotherapy were selected as research objects, and current situations of self-regulation fatigue and coping style and their correlations in patients were conducted with statistical analysis by questionnaire investigation.
Results  The total score of self-regulation fatigue in cervical cancer patients with radiotherapy was (54.59±15.09) points, and the average scores of each dimension from high to low were (19.91±6.95) points of emotional control, (17.72±5.45) points of cognitive control and (16.97±5.73) points of behavioral control; the scores of coping styles in cervical cancer patients with radiotherapy were (23.02±3.87) points of optimism, (19.14±4.59) points of facing, (14.49±3.48) points of self-reliance, (13.73±4.90) points of avoidance, (10.09±3.55) points of appeasement, (9.21±3.23) points of support, (6.84±2.66) points of fate and (3.04±2.82) points of emotional catharsis from high to low; in the model, "self-reliance"had a greater impact on self-regulation fatigue.
Conclusion  The degree of self-regulation fatigue is severe in cervical cancer patients with radiotherapy, but their ways to deal with stress are more positive. Medical staff need to give scientific evaluation and active guidance to promote the physical and mental health of patients.
