Research progress on integrated therapy of traditional Chinese and western medicine in treatment of adverse reactions after tumor chemotherapy

  • Chemotherapy is one of the most important treatments for malignant tumors, but the chemotherapy related adverse reactions affects the therapeutic process and efficacy. Adverse reactions include gastrointestinal reactions, bone marrow suppression, peripheral neuropathy and sleep disorders, and it is necessary to eliminate or reduce adverse reactions to achieve the best efficacy of chemotherapy. This study summarized the domestic and foreign literatures on adverse reactions after tumor chemotherapy, sumed up the pathogenesis of various adverse reactions, the mechanism of acupuncture combined with medicine treatment and the progress on integrated therapy of traditional Chinese and western medicine, in order to provide reference for clinical treatment.
