Objective To explore the effect of continuous nursing on prognosis of patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS).
Methods A total of 200 AS patients were enrolled in this study and randomly divided into experimental group and control group. Ninety-seven cases were eventually in the experimental group and 92 cases were included in the control group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the experimental group was given routine nursing combined with continuous nursing intervention. The disease activity, mental state and quality of life of patients in the baseline period and one year after treatment were statisticallyanalyzed in the two groups.
Results There was no significant difference in baseline clinical data between the two groups (P>0.05). After one year of treatment, the improvement degree of quality of life and mental state of patients in the experimental group was significantly higher, and the adherence rate of biological agents was significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion Although continuous nursing can not increase the remission rate of disease activity in patients with AS, but it can significantly improve their psychological state, quality of life and prognosis.
