Objective To develop "Internet plus based home care" platform based on combination of medical and elderly care pension institution and apply it to the home care practice of the elderly.
Methods In May 2019, the home care information platform was established. The information of the elderly at home by combining the community information and data center for the aged based on the community home was established. Combination of medical and elderly care pension institution was established supported by "Internet plus based home care" platform. The development of care before and after the implementation of "Internet plus based home care" platform and the satisfaction of the care recipients were compared.
Results Before the implementation of "Internet plus based home care", seven communities were included, with an average of 600 people per month. After implementation, 41 communities were included, with an average of 4 980 people per month. The quality of medical assistance services after implementation was better than before implementation(P < 0.05). The satisfaction of comprehensive experience of care service increased from 81.67% before implementation to 96.38% after implementation(P < 0.05).
Conclusion The development and application of "Internet plus based home care" platform based on the combination of medical and elderly care pension institution can make more use of the resource advantages of the integrated medical and elderly care institutions to provide better quality home care services for the elderly.
