Effect of modified Shipi Yin combined with acupoint application in patients with chronic heart failure differentiated as heart-yang deficiency syndrome

  • Objective To explore the effect of modified Shipi Yin combined with acupoint application in patients with chronic heart failure differentiated as heart-yang deficiency syndrome. Methods A total of 122 patients with chronic heart failure were selected and divided into control group and study group according to random throwing method. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine, and the study group was treated modified with Shipi Yin combined with acupoint application on the basis of the control group, the therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results There were no significant differences in the scores of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome and 6 min walking distance before treatment between the two groups(P>0.05); after treatment, the traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome score of the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the 6 min walking distance was significantly greater than that in the control group(P<0.05); the effective rate in the study group was 93.44%, which was significantly higher than 80.33% in the control group(P<0.05). The levels of cardiac function indexes such as stroke volume(SV), left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF), and left ventricular short-axis shortening rate(LVFS), plasma nitric oxide(NO), endothelin(ET), plasma brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)levels in the two groups before treatment showed no significant differences(P>0.05); after treatment, SV, LVEF and LVFS - levels in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and NO, ET, BNP indexes were lower than those in the control group, the differences were significant(P<0.05). Conclusion Modified Shipi Yin combined with acupoint application has obvious efficacy for patients with chronic heart failure differentiated as heart-yang deficiency syndrome.
