Abstract
Objective To investigate the expressions of platelet derived growth factor CC(PDGF-CC)and CD147 in tissues of triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)and theirs effects on prognosis. Methods Clinicopathological and follow-up data of 110 TNBC patients with detection of CD147 in the preliminary research of our research group were collected. The immunohistochemical assay was performed for PDGF-CC detection. The relationship between the expression of PDGF-CC and clinicopathological features, CD147 expression was analyzed, and the effects of PDGF-CC and CD147 on prognosis were analyzed. Results The positive rate of PDGF-CC in TNBC tissues was 93.63%(103/110). Expression of PDGF-CC was positively correlated with expression of CD147(P=0.001), but has no correlations with age, T stage of tumor, N stage of lymph node, histological grade and expression of Ki67(P=0.186, 0.737, 0.458, 0.994, 0.352). Survival analysis showed that the expressions of PDGF-CC and CD147 were correlated with disease-free survival(DFS)and overall survival(OS). In other words, the higher the expressions of PDGF-CC and CD147 were, the worse of prognosis was, but there were no significant differences in DFS and OS between PDGF-CC andCD147(P=0.477, 0.318, 0.883, 0.768). Cox proportional hazards model analysis indicated that PDGF-CC expression and CD147 expression were not the risk factors for the prognosis of TNBC. Conclusion PDGF-CC is highly expressed in TNBC tissues, and is positively correlated with CD147- expression. The higher the expression of PDGF-CC and CD147 are, the worse prognosis of patients is.
