Comparison of 1, 3-β-D-glucose test, galactomannan test and sputum culture in the diagnosis of patients with pulmonary aspergillosis

  • Objective To analyze the clinical values of 1, 3-β-D-glucose test(G test), galactomannan test(GM test)and sputum culture test in diagnosis of patients with pulmonary aspergillus. Methods A total of 9 005 patients with suspected pulmonary aspergillus were selected and conducted with GM test, G test and sputum culture, and the results of tests were analyzed. Results There was no significant difference in the detection accuracy between alveolar lavage G test and serum G test(P>0.05). There was no significant difference in the detection accuracy between alveolar lavage GM test and serum GM test(P>0.05). The accuracy of serum G test was significantly higher than that of serum GM test(P<0.05). Conclusion The serum G test is easy to operate, and it can effectively detect pulmonary aspergillus.
