Nutritional intervention and comprehensive rehabilitation nursing for elderly patients with osteoporotic fracture

Objective To explore the effects of nutritional intervention and comprehensive rehabilitation nursing in treatment of elderly patients with osteoporotic fracture. Methods A total of 80 elderly patients with osteoporotic fracture were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with calcium supplements and routine nursing, while the observation group was treated with nutritional intervention and comprehensive rehabilitation nursing on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared. Results After the intervention, the motor function score and daily living ability score in the observation group were(76.84±6.82)and(81.78±5.96)points respectively, which were significantly higher than(57.46±7.24)and(67.87±6.24)points in the control group(P<0.05). After the intervention, the score of mastery of osteoporosis knowledge and psychological resilience score in the observation group were(158.75±12.46)and(78.95±6.84)points respectively, which were significantly higher(125.01±13.28)and(65.28±7.24)points in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Nutritional intervention combined with comprehensive rehabilitation nursing can improve the motor function and activities of daily living in elderly patients with osteoporotic fracture.
