Pathogeny of frequent infectious peritonitis in peritoneal dialysis patients

  • Objective To analyze the influencing factors of frequent infectious peritonitis in peritoneal dialysis patients. Methods The clinical data of 87 patients with infectious peritonitis during peritoneal dialysis was analyzed retrospectively. According to frequency of infectious peritonitis in one year, the patients were divided into frequent onset group(n=45, two or more times in one year)and single group(n=42, one time in one year). The influencing factors were analyzed. Results The proportions of patients with chronic nephritis, diabetic nephropathy, complicating with diabetes mellitus and chronic gastritis in the frequent onset group were significantly higher than that in the single onset group(P<0.05). The levels of hemoglobin and urea nitrogen in the frequent onset group were significantly lower, and the detection rates of multidrug-resistant bacteria and Staphylococcus in the frequent onset group were significantly higher than that in the single onset group(P< 0.05). Conclusion There are many influencing factors of frequent infectious peritonitis in peritoneal dialysis patients. Therefore, it is of great significance in improving treatment effect and prognosis by prevention and targeted treatment according to the influencing factors.
