Effect of retinal laser photocoagulation combined with intravitreal injection of conbercept on visual acuity of patients with neovascular glaucoma

  • Objective To investigate the effect of retinal laser photocoagulation combined with intravitreal injection of conbercept on visual acuity of patients with neovascular glaucoma. Methods Ninety patients with neovascular glaucoma were randomly divided into control group(n=45)and observation group(n=45). The control group was treated with conventional drugs, and the observation group was treated with retinal laser photocoagulation on the basis of the control group. The therapeutic efficiency, visual acuity, adverse reactions and quality of life were compared between two groups. Results After treatment, the intraocular pressure, visual field defect, circulation time of retinal veins and thickness of retinal nerve fiber layer(RNFL)in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the visual acuity of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05). The incidence rates of increased intraocular pressure, dizziness, aggravation of blurred vision, choroidal detachment, anterior chamber hemorrhage and conjunctival edema in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The score of quality of life after treatment in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Retinal laser photocoagulation combined with intravitreal injection of conbercept is safe and effective in the treatment of patients with neovascular glaucoma, which can improve the visual acuity and quality of life.
