Effect of multi-disciplinary cooperative nursing mode in prevention of postoperative delirium in elderly patients with hip fracture

  • Objective To explore the effect of multi-disciplinary cooperative nursing mode on postoperative delirium in elderly patients with hip fracture. Methods According to the length of hospital stay, 121 elderly patients with hip fracture in 2018 were divided into control group(n=59)and observation group(n=62). The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given targeted nursing intervention based on multi-disciplinary cooperation nursing mode. The incidence rate of delirium, length of hospital stay, average daily cost of hospitalization and satisfaction degree were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence rate of delirium, length of hospital stay and average daily cost of hospitalization in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the satisfaction degree was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Multi-disciplinary cooperative nursing mode can reduce the incidence rate of postoperative delirium in elderly patients with hip fracture, shorten the length of hospital stay, reduce the average daily cost of hospitalization, and improve the satisfaction degree of patients.
