Efficacy and safety of sufentanil combined with ropivacaine and labor analgesia

  • Objective To explore clinical efficacy of sufentanil combined with ropivacaine and labor analgesia. Methods A total of 80 puerperas with full-term delivery were selected and divided into observation group(treated with labor analgesia, n=46)and control group(treated without analgesia delivery,n=34)according to the willing of puerperas and their families. The results of blood gas analysis, labor pain, the effect of labor analgesia on puerperas and infants, neonatal psychomotor development index(PDI)and neonatal mental developmental index(MDI)were compared between two groups. Results For puerperas, the levels of partial pressure of arterial oxygen [p(O2)] and partial pressure of arterial carbon dioxide [p(CO2)] in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the pH value was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). For the neonates, the p(O2)and pH value in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the p(CO2)was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). The incidence rate of pruritus in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the cesarean section rate was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). There were no significant differences in neonatal PDI and MDI between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusion Sufentanil combined with ropivacaine and labor analgesia is effective and safe for puerperas and infants, which can effectively improve the oxygenation state of puerperas and infants.
