Investigation on quality of birth and life of patients with in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer

  • Objective To investigate the quality of birth and life of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET)patients and its influencing factors. Methods A total of 356 IVF-ET patients were investigated by the Quality of Birth and Life Scale, and the effects of different demographic characteristics on quality of birth and life for IVF-ET patients were analyzed. Results The total score of quality of birth and life in IVF-ET patients was(61.28±14.76)points. Univariate analysis showed that the total score was correlated with age, infertility years, the number of family planning births and the failure times of assisted pregnancy(P<0.05). Multivariate regression analysis showed that age, infertility years and birth times of family planning had a significant impact on the quality of life of female infertility patients, while other factors had no significant impact. Conclusion The quality of birth and life in IVF-ET patients is poor, and its influencing factors include age, infertility years and birth times of family planning. Targeted psychological intervention should be carried out according to the patient's condition to improve the quality of reproduction and life.
