  • Objective To investigate effect of individualized family rehabilitation program under the guidance of Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities(CARF)concept on motor function in stroke patients. Methods A total of 60 stroke patients were randomly divided into experimental group(n=30)and control group(n=30). After discharge, the control group received conventional family rehabilitation, while the experimental group received individualized family rehabilitation program under the guidance of CARF. Both groups received family rehabilitation intervention for 8 weeks. The motor function of two groups was assessed by Functional Independent Measure(FIM), and Simplified Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA)before and after 8-month intervention. Results There were significant differences in FIM scores and FMA scores between experimental group and control group(P<0.05). After 8-month intervention, the scores of FIM and FMA were significantly improved in the experimental group(P<0.05), and in the control group compared to intervention before, but no significant differences were found(P>0.05). Conclusion The individualized visual family rehabilitation program under CARF concept can significantly improve the limb motor function and quality of life of stroke patients.
