Objective To investigate the effect of Yoga healing therapy on sleep quality in senile patients with hypertension.
Methods A total of 120 senile patients with hypertension were divided into two groups by random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. Control group was given routine nursing, and observation group was given routine nursing combined with Yoga healing therapy. The sleep quality, sleep cognition and anxiety were compared between two groups.
Results After intervention, the score of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) in observation group was lower than that in control group (P < 0.05). After intervention, the scores of Sleep Beliefs and Attitudes Scale (DBAS) and Sleep Hygiene Awareness and Practice (SHAP) in observation group were higher than those in control group (P < 0.05). After intervention, the score of Zung Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) in observation group was lower than that in control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion Yoga healing therapy in senile patients with hypertension can improve sleep quality, increase sleep cognition and relieve anxiety.
