Application of optimized rescue procedure in nursing management of emergency critical care unit

  •   Objective  To study effect of optimized rescue process in the nursing management of emergency intensive care unit (EICU).
Methods  Before December 2017, a total of 65 patients in EICU without optimized rescue procedure were randomly selected as control group, and a total of 65 patients with optimized rescue procedure in EICU from December 2017 to December 2018 were selected as observation group. The rescue efficacy, success rate, satisfaction rate of patients and family members to the whole nursing process and adverse events of the two groups were analyzed.
Results  The time of rescue preparation in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group, and the number of nursing staff involved in rescue was significantly less than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The success rate of rescue in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (90.77% vs. 76.92%, P < 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion  The optimized rescue process in the nursing management in EICU improves the overall rescue efficiency, shorten overall rescue time, and improve quality of overall treatment.
