Objective To analyze the the effects of seretide versus fluticasone combined with montelukast on pulmonary function and clinical symptoms in asthmatic patients.
Methods A total of 200 asthmatic patients were divided into observation group and control group according to double-blind method, with 100 cases in each group. The control group was treated with fluticasone and montelukast. The observation group was treated with the inhalation of seretide. After 3 months of treatment, the treatment effects and improvement of lung function were compared between the two groups.
Results The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (96.0%vs.68.0%, P < 0.05).The indicators of lung function such as one-second forced expiratory volume and the peak exhalation flow rate, and peak expiratory flow rate of the observation group were significantly better than that of the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of leukotriene and interleukin-8 in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion Compared with the treatment of fluticasone combined with montelukast, seretide is more effective in the treatment of asthma, and has better improvement in lung function.
