Objective To explore the effect of comprehensive perioperative nursing on the recovery and prognosis of patients with middle-staged and advanced hepatocellular carcinoma after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE).
Methods A total of 146 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma treated with TACE in our hospital were selected as the study subjects. According to the random number table method, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 73 cases in each group. The control group was given general routine nursing, while the observation group was given comprehensive nursing on the basis of general routine nursing. The hospitalization time, effective rate of perioperative pain relief, quality of life and the incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups.
Results After nursing, the hospitalization time of the observation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group (P < 0.05); the effective rate of perioperative pain relief, and the excellent rate of quality of life in the observation group were significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05); the incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P < 0.05).
Conclusion Comprehensive nursing during the perioperative period of TACE for middle-staged and advanced hepatocellular carcinoma can effectively shorten the hospital stay, relieve perioperative pain, improve the quality of life, and reduce the incidence of complications such as wound infections.
