Hysterolaparoscopic surgery versus vaginal surgery in the treatment of patients withcicatricial diverticulum of uterus

  •   Objective  To compare the effect of hysterolaparoscopic surgery and vaginal surgery on the treatment of patients with cicatricial diverticulum of uterus.
Methods  Totally 26 patients with cicatricial diverticulum of uterus were divided into hysterolaparoscopy group and vaginal surgery group. The operation time, intra-operative blood loss and hospitalization cost were compared between the two groups. The efficacy was compared between the two groups.
Results  The operation time and average hospitalization expenses of the vaginal surgery group were significantly less than those of the hysterolaparoscopy group (P < 0.05), but there was no significant difference in the amount of bleeding between the two groups (P>0.05). The total effective rates of hysterolaparoscopy group and vaginal surgery group were 100.00%, and there was no significant difference (P>0.05).
Conclusion  Both hysterolaparoscopic surgery and vaginal repair surgery can achieve good therapeutic effect on treating cicatricial diverticulum of uterus, and both methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. Clinicians should choose the treatment plan according to the actual situation.
